The format of this training bundle includes a detailed online course followed by face to face training. Delegates must complete the e-learning element of this course prior to attending the face to face training. The face to face element of this course is to enable delegates to put the theory they have learned from the online course into practice. The aim of this training is to prepare delegates to recognise when someone requires emergency first aid and to effectively manage the first aid situation within a work environment. Learning Objectives: By the end of this course delegates will be able to: • Understand the roles and responsibilities of a first aider • Assess an incident and effectively prioritise • Provide first aid to an unresponsive casualty • Provide first aid to a casualty who is choking • Provide first aid to a casualty who is bleeding externally • Provide first aid to a casualty who is in shock • Provide first aid to a casualty with minor injuries
