The format of this training bundle includes a detailed online course followed by face to face training. Delegates must complete the e-learning element of this course prior to attending the face to face training. The face to face element of this course is to enable delegates to put the theory they have learned from the online course into practice. Learning Outcomes: • To be able to perform an effective ear assessment using an otoscopy • To understand the steps involved when taking a person’s clinical history including their current medications for the purposes of an ear assessment • To be aware of the guidance for hand washing in a clinical setting • To understand the anatomy of the ear • To understand the clinical examination of the ear and the skills to perform otoscope assessment • To interpret and apply ear assessment results to aid clinical diagnosis and decisions • PGD and the use of otomize • To safely and effectively close the consultation including signposting and referral when necessary • Be able to successfully use an otoscope following on from a demonstration of its use and close up of anatomy
